    Xbox Series X Shutting Down Completely While Playing Certain Games.


    My Series X console has been crashing at random while playing games from the Xbox One, and Xbox 360 Consoles. Strangely enough, Series X Games work perfectly on my console. A few things to note:

    1. A green flicker occurs and my Series X shuts off. Upon turning the system back on, I get no message for what occurred, so I am left in the dark about what the issue is.

    2. I can rule out the possibility of overheating, as my console has never gotten too hot.

    3. The crash mainly occurs on Battlefield 1, Battlefield V, All Call of Duty Games on the Xbox 360 and Fallout 3.

    4. I have 1TB Hard Drive for the Xbox One connected to my Series X with a handful of games installed. I am wondering if perhaps a malfunction is occurring with this, causing my console to shut off.

    5. I can rule out simple fixes for issues such as restarting Xbox or changing internet connection. All these fixes have done absolutely nothing so far.

    Any answers would be wholeheartedly appreciated.

    We are sorry to hear that you’re having issues with your Series X console. According to Xbox Support, if your Xbox Series X is crashing while playing games, you can try the following solutions:

    1. Restart your console by pressing and holding the Xbox button in the center of your controller, selecting Restart console, and following the prompts.
    2. Swap player profiles and delete/reinstall game files that seem to trigger the crash.
    3. Create a new profile or use another existing one on your console to check if the problem is related to your gaming profile.
    4. Force restart your console by pressing and holding the Power button to shut down the console, releasing the Power button, and unplugging the power cable. Wait at least 5 minutes before plugging the cable back in and turning on the console.

    You can also try clearing local Xbox 360 storage by following these steps:

    1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
    2. Go to Profile & system > Settings.
    3. Select System and then Storage.
    4. Select Clear local Xbox 360 storage.
    5. Select Yes and restart the console.
