    Xbox series X shuts down after just being turned on


    Hi everybody, I recently noticed that my xbox started to shut down after a few seconds after being turned on. Is this something to worry about? Or is it just a small issue?

    If it helps, the console is always in a ventilated (breathable?) area and I clean the dust of from time to time if there is any

    Xbox Series X shuts down immediately after being turned on.

    You will need to have it repaired, either the power supply has failed or there is a major failure on the board to cause this.

    I´m afraid that if you have already tried all those troubleshooting steps, then your console might need to be serviced.

    Opening your console by yourself is really not advisable since it can violate the services agreement. I would suggest you to have your device serviced through the official site here:

    The only reason I don’t think Xbox 360 servers will be shut down anytime soon, even after series X comes out, is that you still have games that I’ve just been added to backwards compatibility and those games will continue on when series X comes out. A
    lot of the backwards compatible games have multiplayer elements that need servers so it wouldn’t be a good idea to shut down games you just released.

    That would be great. I dont mind that the game is not working, but I do not like my Series X being hard shut down as it can corrupt the drive\brick the xbox.
