Xbox Series X & Series S | Low max volume

Any USB headset i've tried, or wireless in VIA pairing to the console itself, has very low max volume. This is the case with 3.5mm headphones as well, but it's not as bad.

    I have tried:

Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 2 Max

    Razer Kaira Pro

    Astro A40

All 3 have the same issue. The max volume sounds around 30%.

I tested this on my SX and my wifes SS, both the same issue. All headsets are on the latest firmwares, all brand new. Reboots do not resolve the issue. Both xboxes on latest update. Factory reset performed as well.

The only workaround ive found, is to use Dolby, and have volume leveller on, and max out the EQ. This distorts the audio, but at least gets it to normal max level. All headsets work perfectly on PC.

    Any ideas?

    :)

My screen turn on black when i try to run a game on 120 FPS

What resolution are you trying to run at

If 4k 120 Hz then no it won't run at thaf

The max for series s is 1440p at 120hz

It will play at 4k bur only some games and with issues

The series s is meant for 1080p 120 max

    With suggested 90hz

The xbox series x and ps5 and switch pro are the only 4k consoles

One x does 4k at 30hz and ps4 pro upscales

Why microsoft doesn't include xbox one X in next gen games its a powerfull console

i disagree, the series s is a good few years old tech now, so is the series x. i have a series s for my youngest kid and i can definately say, it is trash compared to the pc's in my home, its slow, games are running at mostly low to probably low-medium. series x is also getting on a bit compared with the tech available these days.

An i can deffo say the PC games i play come in way above the series s and even better fidelity and framerate than series x,

xbox series s headset volume way too low

So to make this even more confusing to figure out. I just dug out my old xbox one s, fired it up and tested all the controller on
it. The old ones still work fine. The black one that came with the new xbox series x works fine. The new style white controller that come with the new xbox series s and the new style black controller bought today from best buy BOTH have the headset low volume
problem on my old xbox one s. Totally confused at this point.
