Xbox Series X sending multiple volume commands to my AVR

Everything worked fine on my Xbox One since it used IR. Now that the new Series X uses HDMI CEC, the volume and mute controls are all screwed up. The Xbox seems to be sending the signals twice. Because of this, when I hit mute, it mutes the AVR and then immediately unmutes it, making it impossible to mute. Also when sending volume up or down commands it sends more than one signal making the volume go much higher or lower than intended. This needs to be fixed ASAP.

Xbox On/ Xbox Turn Off does not power on off the television

Removed my AVR and I can control my TV's volume with voice commands.

None of the remote codes worked to power off or on.

XBOX ONE Turns AVR to FM input when turned on

0054 and 1254 work for volume up and down and power on and off 2655 works for volume only and 2041 does not work at all I have also tried disabling the "turn devices off" feature so my avr just stays on but when Xbox turns on it sends the avr from Sat input
to FM radio input I would use the 2655 code that works the volume only but seemed to have some interference with something and started turning up volume automatically without kinect commands even listening so still stuck. Thanks for the timely response though
hope we can get this fixed is there anyway of finding out the code that the original remote sends out?

Xbox one and Denon AVR-791 no audio/image

    Evandro,

I have the same receiver and have not had issues with the audio or images going through my denon AVR-791.

I am on the hunt to get the command "volume up or volume down" to work but so far no luck. I've tried searching for the proper remote code for the receiver and again no luck.

So I guess my question is does anyone know the remote code for the Denon AVR-791 that works with the Xbox One?

    XB1 Hook Up

I've read that xbox one will have hdmi control, therefore, there is a possibility it could still control the avr's volume even if it is an input instead of between the avr and the tv. Of course, your avr will need to be hdmi control compatible. Also, there
is a possibilty of kinect being used as a universal remote which could send an IR signal to the avr to control volume. I just want to use voice to control everything, as well as get lossless audio. Haha, we'll see if that's too much to expect

    Atmos trouble on Xbox x

Hi, PiotrONX, my name is Adam.

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having trouble with your Xbox X series and Denon AVR. Here are some steps that you can try to resolve the issue:

    1. Check your audio settings: Make sure that your Xbox X series is set to output audio in Dolby Atmos format. To do this, go to Settings > General > Volume & audio output > Audio output, and then select Dolby Atmos for home theater. If you have already done this, try toggling the setting off and on again.

    2. Check your HDMI connections: Ensure that your Xbox X series is connected to your Denon AVR via an HDMI cable that supports Dolby Atmos. Also, make sure that your Denon AVR is set to the correct input source.

    3. Update your firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your Denon AVR. If there are, update your firmware to the latest version.

    4. Reset your Xbox X series: If none of the above steps work, try resetting your Xbox X series to its default settings. To do this, go to Settings > System > Console info > Reset console > Reset and remove everything.

    I hope this helps!
    Adam.
