    I reset my Xbox today just for better performance I do it every now and then. The thing is that games say they take a minute or two to load up so I clicked on game after game very fast like. I would close out the game immediately go to my games and apps and open another one. My console started to feel sluggish which I guess was a sign that I’m overloading it by doing it. When I reached the d section and clicked on dead rising 2 the screen went black so I opened the guide and it worked but then it froze on the guide. I tried to open the restart menu with my controller but it would make the opening sound and I wouldn’t be able to scroll up to restart. Should I refrain from going in and out of games in quick succession. I don’t think it’s a console issue since it’s the first time it froze I had to power cycle it for it to work. Does going in and out of multiple games very fast like cause overload which can cause it to freeze. I’m not much of a tech savvy guy I just want to avoid that happening again.

    Thank you I restarted my Xbox I’ll make sure to not do that ever again that was dumb of me. Thanks for the assistance how do I close a post.

    Oh I understand that's the cause, there are too many open games and in a short time that exceeds the graphical capabilities of the console

    I was closing out the games completely I think it’s that I opened to many of them overloading the system. I opened like 30 to 40 games back to back I’ll make sure to give some time between opening games.

    Hi ShinyNut, my name is Joel, I'm here to help you with any problems or questions you may have.

    ShinyNut, it is always advisable to wait until you completely exit the previous game and then start or enter a different one. If possible, when you decide not to continue using a game, quit the game altogether so that it doesn't continue to run in the background and consume resources unnecessarily, which in turn will slow down the use of other games.

    Always click on the home button on your controller, then locate the game you will no longer use, hover over it and press the menu button on your controller (the one with the 3 horizontal lines) selecting the "leave" option. Wait for that game to close and then you can select and start another one.
