XBox Series X says I need to free up space

Hi I have a Xbox series x and I have 200 free gb however it says I still don’t have enough space to install it ?

What game are you trying to install? There are definitely some games that are over 200gb so its very possible you really just dont have enough space.

Also looks like ill probably be needing an external harddrive to free up more space...any suggestions on a type or brand that works well with the xbox one x?

did you get a notification saying that you need to clear some space to install the game?

If you got that screen and didn't free up space, then it will sit in your queue until you cancel the installation, or free up enough space to resume in install.

I have 15 Saves, total, including auto saves, and I have 512GB free space on my Xbox Series X. This initially happened when I had 30-something Saves, then 20, now 15.

When I go to "Manage Starfield", it shows my saves adding up a total of 312MB, 103MB of which are "Reserved Space", and 208MB of which are under my user name.

Something is very messed up here.
