Xbox Series X|S Edge browser compatibility

Please, I beg of you. Could you please just remove this web browser and put the PC version with all of its optimizations on the console. Sites that should easily play back video don't run properly. Despite the video being loaded ahead on the EpochTV website the video keeps freezing and buffering. I've sent this to the Edge team and they are not even trying to fix this. This site actually played on the PS4 without doing what it is doing now. Although it would just drop out sometimes if I refreshed, it would play through without the buffering and freezing. This is a mainstream browser on a console that can easily play back video. An i5 12400 equivalent CPU and an RTX 2080 equivalent GPU.

This is so unfair that the devs would purposely make the console browser run worse than the PC despite its specs. I knew the Edge team would ignore this and I've sent recorded feedback with screenshots. They didn't fix the locals.com video player buffering, they still haven't fixed the OAN videos not playing, even though they play on Firefox and Brave. The browser can run livestreams but not play back video on certain sites, and these sites aren't illegal or pirate sites, either. Can't someone fix these little problems that shouldn't even be occurring on a mainstream browser. I knew this was going to happen when I reported this, I'm sure others have probably reported similar problems and they just get ignored.

You have to discuss it with the webmastrr

Since xboxs edge.is more.upto date then ps4 which is baRed on ancient webkit

(Be it a webpage you aren't accessing or the user agent for redirect it is upto your webmaster since edge has chromium

Basivally you want to ask the webmaster to recognize the edge user agent as mobile

Again this is upto the webmaster

You have to discuss with him why he isn't using modern html5 rather.then user agents

The old.way to usr non compatible browsers is to use user agents to redirect to mobile sites to.save you some time copy the address when it redirects you

Well are you on xbox one or series s/x then just use it

Bing isn't as good as Google

Keep in mind edge on console isn't a desktop browser it's sandboxed and has limits on what it can do

Xbox one isn't xbox one s or x compatible they are all compatible it's only the x that has some enhancements but generally the game will download on any xbox one

Series x is just xbox series s or x

It looks like you've purchased the Series S|X edition, which is for new generation consoles (Series S and Series X) and wouldn't be compatible with your Xbox One S.
