  1. Xbox Series X/S controller won't reconnect after shutting down.

    Hello everyone,

I'm a PC user and player and I got a Xbox Series X/S controller a few days ago, for which occasion I also purchased a PCIe Wifi + Bluetooth5 card (Gigabyte GC-WB1733D-I).

Both work well and I'm very happy with Microsoft's new controller.

But I have a problem : when the controller is paired to Windows and has already synced once, it won't reconnect when I turn it on.

It works perfectly but as long as it has shut down, it will never reconnect unless I restart the Bluetooth, or unless I delete the device and then install and pair it again.

I can't just count on disabling and enabling Bluetooth anytime I want to play : in fact, I also bought a wireless mouse (which does not have this issue, btw) and if I do disable Bluetooth I obviously lose its control.

Hence, I don't know why the controller doesn't even reconnect every time I disable/enable Bluetooth...

Will you help me figure this out, so I can use my controller on the go ?

This is what bluetooth was meant for : my wireless mouse does actually behave and work perfectly...

I found very few infos on this issue, except on a french forum thread from 2017 mentioning the exact same issue with an Xbox One controller.

Why hasn't this been fixed yet ? Could Microsoft fix this for PC players ? (without using the wireless dongle for Windows, please)

Does anyone know a workaround that could keep me from deleting my device everytime I want to use it ?

Thanks everyone for your attention and for your help. Cheers.

    Please note that :

-The controller's firmware is up to date.

-My bluetooth card's driver is up to date.

-Every Bluetooth/controller related device is told as up to date when I check them in the Device Manager.

    -Windows is up to date.

    Specs :

    -Windows 10 64bits Professional : version 20H2 (19042.746)

    -Gigabyte GC-WB1733D-I (WIFI+Bluetooth5 PCIe card)

-Logitech MX Master 3 (Bluetooth mouse)

-Shock Blue Xbox Series X/S controller (firmware 5.5.2641.0)

    -AMD Ryzen 5 3600X 6-Core Processor 3.80 GHz

    -DDR5 32 GB Ram

    -Nvidia GTX 1080

    :)

Maybe Xbox Live is shutting down on the 360 to make way for the series x/series as s?

Microsoft Elite Controller 2 disconnects from XBOX One X intermittently

This did not work, I also noticed that if I shut off the XBOX One X it disconnects this controller and I have to reconnect it on startup. This does not happen with my other controllers just the Elite series 2 one.. I'll request a replacement

Can I install disc games from Xbox Live ?

    1. If it says its for the One/Series S/X, then it won't work on the 360. That content is still available for purchase in the 360 marketplace though so you could buy it there and it will still work.

    2. Yes. Anything you've purchased prior to the marketplace shutting down will still be available on your account to install and play. There is no time limit for this.

    3. Same as #1. If the purchase says it will only work for the One/Series S/X then it won't work on a 360.

Game does not allow live streaming?

Your answer is not satisfactory since the issue is specifically with Xbox Series X and S so far as I've seen, which are systems that came out well after Mixer shut down. I have been streaming on Twitch through my Series X and even I cannot stream a single game now, every game states "this game does not allow streaming" including games I HAVE streamed in the past.

So there's something else going on that is not "we shut Mixer down over a year before this console launched"

October's update made my console garbage

Same here... When you turn on the xbox one x (didnt check if it happens with xbox one s) from the controller, about 5 seconds after that it looses sync to it and wont re-sync until you shut down the controller and turn it on again, tried it on 3 different
consoles with 6 different controllers, all that happened after the last update
