Xbox Series X|S Controller randomly freezes

I have two Xbox Series X|S controllers, and the issue occurs with both of them. One of them I bought around September 2021, and the other one I just bought a couple days ago.

I have only connected them to my PC as well.

Could you try connecting one of the controllers via Bluetooth to your mobile phone and test it how it goes?

I'm thinking can be an issue with the PC, in the meantime try reinstalling Xbox controller driver.

Uninstall the USB driver in Device Manager:

1. Press the Windows + X keys simultaneously;
2. Click on the Device Manager option;

3. Click the arrow that points to USB Controllers;

4. Right-click on the installed device and click uninstall;

5. Restart the computer.

Tip: Also remove everything related to Universal Bus and Composite device.

Step 2
Install the generic driver:

1. Press the Windows + X keys simultaneously;
2. Click on the Device Manager option;

3. Click the arrow that points to USB Controllers;

4. Right-click on the installed device and click Properties;

5. Click on the Driver tab> Update Driver> Search Computer for Driver Software;

6. Click Allow me to choose from a list of device drivers on the Computer;

Select driver versions, install one by one.

Tip: After completing the installation of each driver, restart the system and test it.

Step 3

Update Xbox One control.

This step can be done on another computer, if necessary.

Get the Microsoft Windows 10 app by searching for "Xbox Accessories".
Launch the Xbox Accessories app.
Connect the Xbox One Wireless Controller using a USB cable or the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows.
When the controller is connected, you will see the message "Update required" if there is a mandatory update. Install the update"

So, is this happening with every controller connected to your PC? Or with this specific controller?

May I know if you tried connecting it to another PC or to a phone and see if the issue persists?

Xbox Series X|S controllers are fully compatible with the Xbox One, One S and One X. Also the Xbox One controllers work on the new Series consoles.
