Xbox Series X|S backwards compatibility issues

I believe that when the new generation consoles Xbox Series X|S was to be backwards compatible all the way back to the original Xbox.... and yet it falls WAY short of that. It is only backwards compatible to a select few games, which are only found on Gamepass. This is false advertisement to the extreme. I have discs from the original Xbox and Xbox 360 and put them in my brand new Series X (Halo edition) which I spent $1000 on obtaining (thank you Ebay). Each disc was rejected by the console, except one. That game being Morrowind: The Elder Scrolls III. Now tell me, how is it backwards compatible with only 1 game out of 20 that I tried??? And... then again, only what is on Game Pass?? This needs to be fixed, cause even the Xbox 360 had way more compatibility than this machine shows currently because it will play the games that this brand new console refuses to do. An example given, Culdcept Saga is a relatively easy game to emulate, yet refuses to play on Series X. I know what you are going to say is that they are working on it. Here is the thing... a properly created emulation software shouldn't have to have tweaks for each given game, that will take forever. Why not use the emulator to run the code that was created for the original systems.... but run it through the hardware on the X|S series. I personally feel let down on this. I run emulators on my Dell laptop that will play EVERY game I own, but the X|S series Xbox can't run AS ADVERTISED.

From a web-source it states: "The Xbox Series X and S are backward compatible with almost every native Xbox One game, 568 Xbox 360 games, and 39 original Xbox games. The only Xbox One titles that won’t work on the Xbox Series are those that require Kinect, as the Kinect is no longer supported."

and yet... 29 of my Xbox 360 games do NOT work, either directly from disc, or simply cannot find them in store.... Record of Agarest War and War Zero are some good games to play, and yet, will not work. Is this going to be fixed? Why aren't games like Phantom Crash (Original Xbox) games listed on the store or allowed to play from disc?? Please Microsoft... let's get the story straight on things... Your console is NOT backwards compatible as many were led to believe, because originally, there was no 'list' given, and now that the console is released, and people spent all this money on it, it falls short and now there is a list of compatible games, which again falls WAY short of what we, your consumers, were led to believe.

If Microsoft should endeavor to fix this issue, great. Sony is coming out with their own version of Game Pass soon, which I can't wait to see, because, like some of us, have older games on disc, with no machine to play them on, except a computer with an emulator. Also, if we have the game on disc, don't charge us to buy its usage on the console... We already paid for the game years ago. Thank you.
