Xbox Series X registered as Xbox One

Discus and support Xbox Series X registered as Xbox One in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I just set up my series X and on my Microsoft account my Series X serial number is being listed as an Xbox One.     Xbox Series X registered as Xbox One


    I just set up my series X and on my Microsoft account my Series X serial number is being listed as an Xbox One. I tried removing it and adding it again via serial number but it keeps showing up as an Xbox One. I have triple checked that I am using the
    correct serial number found on the device itself, the box and the system information so the serial is being input correctly but it's being registered as the wrong device. Anyone else having this issue?

    No such thing as an Xbox One Series X. The Xbox One family of consoles has an S and an X but are still just Xbox Ones. You need the Series family of consoles. The Xbox Series S or Xbox Series X. These are different from Xbox One S or Xbox One X.

    The "One" and "Series" are the console types.

    Thanks for the help - just so you know, the Xbox App shows my console name correctly as "Series X".

    No change. When I go into details the system type says "Xbox One".

    When I use the Microsoft Store app and try to install to my Series X, the relavent option says XBOX - even though the name I gave my system is "Series X".
