Xbox Series X pre-order with account balance and credit card - adding more credit

I have my Series X preordered. When i pre-ordered, i had $10 in my account balance and had a credit card as a backup. I know that money won't be taken until 10 days before.

Question: if i add additional credit before it charges, will the new credit be used before the credit card is charged? (Or will it only use the $10 credit i initially had?)

Hi there, I just wanted to know if it's possible to pre-order the Xbox Series X console using my Microsoft account balance or do I strictly have to use a credit/debit card.

I had the option to use ny Microsoft account balance at the point of pre-order, and it even states under the payment options that account balance can be used and is the only payment method charged immediately for pre-orders.

Our problem is changing the amount of balance taken after the order is in place.

Microsoft and Xbox gift cards now go to the same account balance too. They're interchangeable.

At least, in my frequent experiences in the UK.

You cant use ms currency

To preorder anything you can ONLY use ms store credit

Not xbox currency on the ms store

For every other vendor you must use their gift cards or creditcards

This is not accurate. Ive pre ordered items before with my balance and others have pre ordered the series x with their balance or had MS change theor payment option to their balance after the fact. There is an issuewith the payment system currently thst
theybhope to have resolved by next week. Though ive gotten a nimber of explanations from support agents that vary from “you cant” to “texh issue”.

I was able to preorder for release date the expansion card with ms account balance. I am curious if it will or can be applied to my series x preorder without changing the order cause I have more.. definitely wouldn't if it changed what day I receive it...
does microsoft ever answer in these things? I'm very curious about this..
