Xbox Series X powers off after 15-20 seconds after booting up

- Do you have any external devices plugged into your console's USB ports? if you do, I'd suggest removing them all and trying again.

- If that is not the case, then I'd suggest issuing a service order for your console, as this does seem to be hardware-related.

Do you know if your console is still under warranty? if your console is under warranty, repairs would be free of cost. Shut Dow, take out the power lead and wait for 15 to 20 seconds (not 4 minutes as some Microsoft XBox person says). After 15 to 20 seconds, put the power cable back in and boot up. This workaround works about 80^ of the time. Sadly, sometimes it doesn't
work and as I have found out at least once per month, it may need a hard reset and that means having to reinstall all games/ Apps and accounts.

This has been happening to quite a few people today, and clearing out the system cache via a hard reboot has helped almost all of them. Just turn the Xbox off using the white light power button on the front, then hold that same button down for 15 seconds.
After the 15 seconds, boot up the console and your game should work again.

Hi, with the Xbox powered on press and hold the power button on the Xbox for 10 seconds, the Xbox will power off, power the Xbox on again using the power button on the Xbox and after a slightly longer boot up time give things another try.

Im havig this issue too... But it's funny cause it shutdown only when I connect to xboxlive. If I let it offljne mode, it doesn not shut down. What did you do!?
