    Xbox Series X Power Issues


    Received Xbox Series X, went through setup, have it sent to instant on, with the box for turn off storage when xbox is off unchecked. Selected a number of games to download and did a normal shutdown like i would normally do to let games download in the background.
    When I turned the console back on 3 hours later no progress had been made on any download. Had to sit and make sure any games would download without powering down. Finally got one to fully install to be able to play. Within 30 minutes the console shut itself
    down, but the controller light was still flashing like it was looking for a connection. Console would not respond to controller to power back on. Had to press the button on the outside to get it to power back on. Fired the game back up and it repeated this
    issue twice before I went back and did a hard full shutdown. Fired back up and the issue returned 40 mins later.

    Also have noticed the console will not power on if I use the controller, will only power on if I push the button located on the console itself.

    Xbox Series X power button blinks rapidly when I try to power it on from controller and then it doesn't power on.

    The rapid flashing of the power button on the Xbox Series X indicates that there may be an issue with the console's power supply or the internal hardware.

    Mine goes off after 2 to 3 hours of gameplay. Xbox ambassador advised me to carry out a soft reset on the console.

    Believe it may be an issue with overheating. Both Xbox Series X games and normal games seem to be crashing for me.

    Sorry to hear that. Have you tried plugging in the console directly to a different wall outlet without using power strip or surge protector?

    You can also try this: Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off. Wait 30 seconds, and then plug the power cord back in. Press and hold the SYNC button and the EJECT button, and then press the Xbox button on the console. Continue holding the SYNC and EJECT buttons for 10-15 seconds. Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the SYNC and EJECT buttons after the second power-up tone. The console should power up and take you directly to the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter. Select reset then keep games and apps.

    In case the issue still persist, the best thing to do is to request a service.
