XBOX Series X - Power Consumption?

Hi guys,

in a video from austin evans where he shows a playable prototype(?) of an xbox series x, he says that the psu(power supply unit) will have 300watts. does that mean the new xbox will consume only up to 200/225watts or will the psu pushed to its maximum?

We don't have official power consumption information. We all could only guess.

so it would most likely consume as much as a middle/high tier computer? 250-350watts maximum? maybe a little bit less because of the new 7nm architecture

Yes, that's true. Xbox series X use more power.

your truck doesn't provide enough power. Even if it's rated for 400 W, no power supply provides what it's actually rated for. Example computer power supplies are considered to be excellent at 80% efficiency

Do you need at least six or 700 W to reliably run a series X. I recommend you try for the series S with lower power consumption that in something you could fit in the truck will probably do the job just fine
