    Xbox series x power button won’t stay lit when pressed


    Just got my series x yesterday. Turned on & saw system error. Did online troubleshooting myself at Xbox.com and downloaded osu fix on flash drive. Today went to turn console on and power button lights up for about a second (along with startup chime) then light goes off. Can’t get to the screen anymore to be able to install offline system update. Tried unplugging and waiting with no results.

    Thanks for the response. I’m not sure how to activate the warranty but I will look into it. This really sucks.

    Hello again, you will have to go to the website below and register your device using the serial number. that you find behind your console.

    Then in MORE DETAILS, search to request repair, Start Service online.

    To mail it to Microsoft.

    Xbox one controller wont turn off after console is off.

    I just got an Xbox One X yesterday and experiencing the same issue. In addition, my controller won’t power on when pressing the home button. I also tried the methods Leslie suggested and no luck.
