xbox series x pad vibrates all the time

The master switch to turn off all of the vibrations on the Xbox 360 was a standard option, I guess Microsofts standard for the Xbox One is different

Skylanders Trap Team is a vibration fest, take a look at this

Walking = no vibration

Running = no vibration

Attacking = vibration

Taking damage = vibration

Pushing objects = vibration

Using interactive objects = vibration

Being launched from super jump pads = vibration

Hitting the ground from a jump / higher elevation = vibration

To turn off Controller vibration:



-Press the Guide Button (The Big silver shiny button in the middle of the controller that looks like the Xbox logo)

-Press Right on the D-pad until you get to the 'Settings' menu.

-Then go down and select 'Preferences' on the Settings menu.

-Go down and select 'Vibration' on the Preferences menu.

-Uncheck the box for 'Enable Vibration



That's it!

Seems the confusion may be in the 'X' button reference... The Guide Button is seperate from the 'X' button. =)

Your Xbox Series X/S controller should still work normally on Xbox One console.

Make sure to change your vibration settings.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide, and then select Profile & system > Settings.
Select Accessibility > Controller, and then select Vibration settings.
If you have multiple controllers, choose the controller that you want to change and select Configure.
For an Elite Series 2 controller, select the configuration profile that you want to change, select Edit > Vibration, and then move the sliders to adjust the vibration.
For an Xbox Wireless Controller, select Turn on vibration to turn vibration on or off.

The regular Xbox Series X/S controllers have the ability to vibrate averagely (you can feel the vibration everywhere), so can be that indeed your controller has an issue on it
