    Xbox series X: Overheating, Catching fire.


    Unsure of the exact circumstances but from what I have recieved, Father and son were playing minecraft when the son notice dark smoke coning from tye top of the series X. Google search led to a number of youtube videos showing the same.

    your power brick is overheating and should be replaced. if it is not replaced it could catch fire. I would not turn on your console until you replace your power brick.

    Ok. Just wanted to make sure it didn’t overheat due to coverage of the covers. Yeah I would bring that it and see what they say. I hope this helps a bit.

    Hi bulldawgftb26,

    I’d recommend contacting a repair shop such as Bestbuy or Gamestop to see they can fix it. Depending on what part caught fire, it could be savable. Did you have anything blocking the top cover or sides?

    No there was nothing blocking the top or side covers. The power supply is what caught fire.
