Xbox series x only turns on for a second

Xbox won’t turn on, light will flash and chime will sound, but will turn off with a click a second later. Tried reseting power by unplugging and waiting which did not work.

Normally in such cases, a power reset would have fixed the issue; however, here are some points to check:

Check that the wall outlet you’re using is working with other devices.
Check that the power cable is firmly connected to the wall outlet and to your console.
Ensure that you're using the power cable that came with your console, and that it's the correct cable for your region.

If your console still will not turn on, it needs to be serviced. To request service, sign in to Microsoft account | Devices with your Microsoft account and submit a service order.

i found a fix by doing a power cycle by holding both controller power button and Xbox power button down for 10 seconds.

Finally got it to work. Press and hold your xbox button on the series X for 10 seconds, then press it again to turn on it should have the reboot screen of the X and then The game worked again

Dèrek, I have been troubleshooting all day and can not get past 50% on the factory reset on my series X. The offline system update does NOT work either as when the update goes to restart the console something in the hardware is interrupting/corrupting the reboot during the update. The factory resets whether I keep games and apps or whether I try to delete everything never complete, and get error coded. How can I resolve this issue?
