    Hi, this is pure speculation and just really opening this thread to discuss it.

    I've been really enjoying my Series X the past almost week now. Performance is great across everything I've tried. Its relatively cool and really whisper quiet.

    I decided to gamble and put my Series X into the Beta ring today. I've been on the Beta ring for many years now across Day One Xbox One, Halo 5 Xbox One, One X and now Series X. Its a risk but I've not had many issues before hand in Insider.

    In terms on the heat generated from the top of the console and this thread (pre adding it to Beta ring), yeah personally no issues with that so far, the console seems great at heat dispersion overall. Stunning infact. I did just put my hand over after a few rounds of Cold War in Beta Ring and I'm not sure if I'm imagining it but the console seems a 'bit' warmer than it was out of Beta Ring. Anyone else noticed this or tested it? What are your findings if so? I'm not sure if I'm imaging it but I'm curious if anyone has any thoughts on this.

    Could switching to the Beta ring and the Beta OS affect console heat?

    NO! Unlike some games that have an Xbox One version that will upgrade to the the S|X version if you put it in a series X, NBA2K for S|X is a complete different version than the Xbox One version and it will not work if you put the disc inside of an Xbox One. Xbox One cannon run a Series X game and putting a Series X disc inside an X1 will not install the X1 version.
