    Xbox series X not turning on TV


    Hi there, I've had my Xbox Series X for a about a year now, when I first got it I set-up HDMI CEC and connected the HDMI cable to the eARC port on my Samsung smart tv with anynet+ (which is basically CEC) but after turning my Xbox on it won't turn on my TV, back then I didn't really bother but now it's getting a bit annoying, I tried the Power Cycle thing which made it work after turning it off and on right away, but when I turned my Xbox off for a while and came back to it the next day, it didn't turn my TV on anymore... It does turn the TV off though. Are there any suggestions to what I should do next.

    Xbox series X has no in game sound but has sound on dashboard and everywhere else

    it only happens to the Xbox X series + Samsung TV. I have Xbox one and a sony TV as well. I tried Xbox X series + Sony TV and Xbox one + Samsung TV. both work...

    I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble getting your Xbox Series X to work with the HDMI cable it came with.

    Make sure the HDMI cable is securely plugged into the correct HDMI port on your TV and your Xbox Series X.

    Try a different HDMI port on your TV to see if that fixes the problem.

    Check for any visible damage to the HDMI cable, such as frayed wires or bent connectors. If you find any damage, try using a different HDMI cable.

    Power cycle your TV and your Xbox Series X. To do this, turn off both devices, unplug them from the wall, and wait a few minutes before plugging them back in and turning them on again.

    Check for any updates for your TV or Xbox Series X and install them if necessary.

    Having this issue with the series X and the 2020 77” LG OLED. Only thing that fixes it is turning the TV off and on.

    HDMI pass-through, do you use it? And do you want it on Series X?

    I use it and have since launch. It’s a great feature allowing me to just turn on my Xbox and that in turn turns on my receiver, DirecTV box and TV. I use all streaming apps through the Xbox and it makes it super easy to switch between TV, streaming and games.

    Really disappointed if this is removed from the Series X.
