Xbox Series X - Not liking the wifi

Brought an Xbox Series X and i am having issues getting it online.

Used the App to do the set up on the xbox, put in the 6 digits but the app then just stops on the next screen.

So I skipped on the console and then continue the updates and it then checks for updates but it doesn't like my wifi.

Comes up with - There was a problem with the update - options being to try again or check net work.

It connects to the wifi but then doesn't like it for some reason.

I got past this by connecting to my phone but then when I was done loading fifa 23 it wouldn't connect again.

I have reset the wifi and the console and have manged to get 30% if the game downloaded by wifi but it keeps stopping.

I have a sky router and have a 5ghz and a 2.5ghz but neither are really working on the Xbox,

Any suggestions.

I understand what you are feeling not being able to connect the console properly on your network. There are many possible reasons for this but let us further check first.

Sometimes, Wireless routers can prevent unauthorized network access by using a feature called MAC filtering. Unfortunately, MAC filtering can also prevent your console from connecting.

If MAC filtering is turned on, try one of the following:

1. Add your console's MAC address to your router's authorized list.

2. Or, turn off MAC filtering temporarily on your router to see if MAC filtering is preventing your console from connecting.

This can be managed on the settings of your router by logging in to it. To add your console's MAC address to your router's authorized list, you’ll need to get your console's MAC address. Here's how:

1. Press the Xbox button  to open the guide.

2. Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Network settings.

3. Select Advanced settings.

4. Write down your Wireless MAC address and enter it to your router's settings.

I would suggest to also try using a wired connection just to test it, but if same issue persist it could be on the settings of your Wi-fi router itself.

This problem is absolutely just an xbox series x problem. I have 2 other xbox consoles hooked to xfinity wifi. I have a one and one x hooked to it with no issues but fpr whatever reason the series x will not load the login page.

I also don't understand how it would be a hardware issue if the hardware is the physical pieces of the series x and I feel like wifi has to do deal with software.

I have the same issue.

Controller and headset both disconnect or have some sort interference. Never had a problem on my Xbox One or Series S. But the problem is persistent on Series X.

Have tried all sorts of things like disabling all wifi and getting a new router. Nothing helps.

I’ve brought my friends Xbox Series X round to my house, used the same wifi and I didn’t have any problems the whole day. I think it is my Xbox Series X with issues. What do I do? I have also tried switching wifi on my Xbox and it did nothing. This is really starting to irritate me, I’ve been kicked out of games at least 6 times today.
