Xbox Series X not able to load games

How do I fix this?

Here is what happened: Playing a game and suddenly it freezes and force closes back to dashboard. First I thought it was the game, tried a different game and the problem persists. I have done the following: full shutdown, hold power 10 seconds, unplugged power cord, reset (keep games and apps), reset (remove games and apps). Yet none of these have resolved the issue after reset.

Best of all my warranty went out last month as the Xbox was ordered on launch day so its one of the early ones. I cannot even request service or a phone call because the support window to select the problem freezes once it figures out I have an Xbox issue.

It would just like to add that Series X|S games are developed to only use faster storage. Not only is this storage totally different to a mechanical hard drive, the way games are loaded is also different. In addition, the Xbox Series X|S hardware can leverage additional resources to load to games from internal SSD or external SSD's even faster, what Microsoft calls its Xbox 'Velocity Architecture'.

As previously stated, you're never going to be able load your Xbox Series X games from an external hard drive. They're just too slow.

Were you ever able to fix this. I had an Xbox one. Got the Xbox X series for christmas. MLB the show 23 is the ONLY game that wont load...

When I take the route you suggested, after I selected my address it says "There are no service options available. For further assistance, contact us."

Which is a joke because that just leads to the window that freezes! Thanks for the reply though.

You should try a different browser or adjusting the settings in your browser that might conflict with the website such as Javascript not being able to execute.

To file a repair request go to https://account.microsoft.com/devices and hit Show details on your console and click on Start an order. If your console is not listed there register it there using the serial number that can be found on the console's back or in the Xbox Settings app > System > Console info.

You can or should be able to use it for the Series X but i don't recommend running your games from it,

as you wont get the fast loading or fast travel time of what the Series X custom NVMe SSD is capable of,

It's best to use any external HDD or SSD for just game storage and transfer you most played games onto the Series X NVMe SSD.
