Xbox Series X New Setup Failure

I must agree with you. This shouldn't be a TV issue if it worked fine during the initial setup.

When you turn your console on, its power button stays on or still has lights in it? Have you tried the combination of buttons above to bring up the startup troubleshooter page?

I will try this later. It will be several hours before I am able to try this and will post an update.

The tv is not seeing any input from the Xbox. I have tried multiple tvs and HDMI cables. Therefore, I can't navigate to any menu items on the tv screen. Since the Xbox won't connect to my mobile device, I can't control it or reset it from there either.

It seems there was either a hardware or software failure during the initial system update.

One of my other thoughts is that I don't have a 4k tv; however, I was able to see the Xbox on the tv at initial startup. I don't want to go buy a 4K tv only to find that the Xbox was the problem. I have also tried the low resolution mode fix but the tv is still not seeing input from the Xbox.

We should be able to see something on your TV to initiate a reset on your console.

Check to see if you can bring up the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter:

1. Power off your console, and then unplug the mains lead to ensure that the console is completely powered off.
2. Wait 30 seconds, and then plug the mains lead back in.
3. Press and hold the Pair button and the Eject button on the console, and then press the Xbox button on the console.

Note The Xbox Series S and the Xbox One S All-Digital Edition do not have Eject buttons. You can bring up the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter on this console by holding only the Pair button (steps 3 and 4) and then pressing the Xbox button.

4. Continue holding the Pair and Eject buttons for 10-15 seconds.
5. Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the Pair and Eject buttons after the second power-up tone.
6. The console should power up and take you directly to the Xbox Start-up Trouble-shooter.

There’s an option there to reset your Xbox.

gpu's have dropped massively in price and now are available at msrp, and the news that nvidia maybe dropping prices even lower soon is even better, i like my gpu as it trounces series x by miles and most pc hardware is dropping in price too and is readily available.

just bad luck you got a bad card, but series x consoles have also been dropping like flies lately due to (typical) hdmi retimer chips, ports and usb failures along with general apu failure, psu failure and overheating along with storage issues.

gotta compare prices

series x (aging now too)

console + extra storage + sub + fairly expensive prices for games = quite the price in the end for a system that is not upgradeable and not multifunctional and is rapidly aging.
