Xbox Series X makes start up chime but won't turn on

I'm struggling to find a similar issue on the forum boards.

My xbox one x won't boot up. I press the power button on the console and it lights up for one second, makes the start up chime, then goes dark and doesn't boot.

Anyone else have this issue and a resolution?

My box is out of warranty, as it's 17months young.

If you Can't fix it then tell to the xbox support live chat, they night help you.

Am I able to use a chime debit card to buy the series x?

My xbox won't switch on either, i try to but it makes the chime noise and dies :/

Sorry to hear you are having issues with your Xbox One S. Unfortunately its against forum rules to provide self repair help.

If you are getting no power to any part of the console, that would suggest the power supply is at fault. If it was a hard drive error, I would still expect it to power on.

New problem. When I did this, the game launched, and when it launched I started up a game of casual, and when I loaded into the game, my Xbox completely shut off on me. This was also happening when I was in the tutorial stage of the game. The Xbox completely turned off 3 times before this 4th occurrence.

Anyway to fix it? It is currently on my internal storage drive, and I am playing on an Xbox One S. I just want to play the game and my Xbox keeps shutting off.

Also when it is turning off, I turn it back on, and it chimes and I have the chime feature off on my Xbox, and the chime makes a very scratchy Xbox on sound also, just thought I should throw that in there.
