    Xbox series X livestream audio bug


    So I’ve recently begun trying to stream from my Xbox series X with a RIG 700HX headset. The picture is crystal clear with no lag, but my audio is laggy and makes a weird crackling noise. This only happens on my livestream and when my headset is plugged in. The in game audio is fine and my party members can hear me clearly, but on the stream the audio sounds terrible. When I unplug my headset the audio in the stream is clear and the issue is gone. I’ve tried plugging my headset directly into my Xbox and also tried plugging ear buds into my controller. It all produced the same audio bug whenever I connected them. I’ve seen other people with this issue, but haven’t found a solution. Is there a way to fix this?

    I'm Samy an independent advisor. Welcome to the Xbox community. How are you?

    Press and hold the Xbox power button until it turns off, remove the power and HDMI cable from the console for 1 minute, then turn it back on and see if that resolves the issue.

    If the problem still persists, reset the console to factory defaults while keeping games and apps.
    You won't miss anything but you will need to login to your accounts again, email and password is required.

    Select Profile & System > Settings > System > Console Information.
    Select Reset Console.

    Just to confirm, did you tried testing with a different headset? Can be a bug with your specific headset. So, worth cover this possibility

    This can be a bit dumb, but may I know if Mono Audio is enabled?

    Go to Settings > Accessibility > Audio

    I have almost the same problem except the error message says

    “if you’re using Xbox series X/S, note that HDMI audio can’t be turned off. In other consoles, either optical or HDMI audio must be on. (0x80bd0009)

    Why can’t I turn off hdmi audio on Xbox series x it makes no sense?
