Xbox Series X Launch Day Order

Like many of you, I ordered the console on launch day with no expected delivery date and just has a status of pending. I'm curious if there's going to be some kind of update or will we not know until we get a random email saying it shipped? I'm just trying
to figure out answers because I don't have time to sit on the phone for two hours waiting on the support team. Thank You.
