Xbox Series X keeps disconnecting from WiFi for 20-30 seconds on 5 gHz

I have an Xbox Series X and have had it for a while. I have had connectivity issues in the past, with my Xbox cutting out for 20-30 seconds on my WiFi, which is enough to disconnect me from online games. In the past when I had this issue, I seperated 2.4gHz and 5gHz connection, playing exclusively on 5, which solved it. However, now it is the 5gHz that is the issue. I can play on 2.4gHz but it is very laggy, whilst on 5 it is perfect but cuts out quite often.

This is not an issue on other devices, and so leads me to believe this is solely an Xbox Series X issue. I have tried all the usual remedies, such as restarting my WiFi, separating the gHz, restarting Xbox, resetting etc.

Need some help because ethernet is not an option. Thanks.

Check the forum or just google "XBOX Series X disconnects from wifi". Tons of threads here and on reddit since the launch.

press the x button from your console for 30 seconds and then turn it on again in 20 seconds that's what we go to hard reset if the problem keep going call customer service

Sorry about that issue but wifi disconnection are 99,99999 % of the time due to a conflict with another devices.

If your router can provide 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz as wifi signal, try both and stay with the best one.
