Xbox Series X keeps crashing while playing games?

Please try the following steps:

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > Account > Remove accounts.

Remove your account from the console (You need to have your email address handy so that you can log in later).

2. Press and hold the Power button on the front of your Xbox until the console turns off.

3. Unplug the power cord from the back of your Xbox.

4. Wait a minute, and then plug the power cord back in.

5. Press the Power button on your Xbox to turn it back on.

6. Log in to your account again.

After this check if any of the games you mentioned stopped crashing.

It's only certain games. The games that crash are "The Finals", "Fortnite", "Rainbow 6 Siege", "Path of Exile" to name a few. Other games such as "Balatro" and "Warframe" do not crash. I have even bought a small fan to place on top of the Series X to help with airflow but the crashes still happen.

Just tried the deleting account and removing the fan, those games I listed are still crashing. My friend is able to run the games no problem on the Xbox One S just fine (with the exeption of The Finals) so I don't think it would be the games fault.

please remove the fan, you are not suffering overheating and external fans can actually compromise the cooling of the system as you're changing the static pressure

You would have to contact the developers of those titles, and report to them the conditions under what you're seeing crashes for them to potentially patch them
