  1. Xbox Series X Keeps Causing our Blu-Ray Player Tray to Open???

We have a Panasonic Home Theater System model BTT-490 which has a built in Blu-Ray player. We also have another Blue-Ray player in the next room. We have never had a problem with any previous Xbox model but ever since we received our Xbox Series X on release
day and plugged it in, once every now and then (maybe once every 20-30 minutes) the tray door on the Blu-Ray players both open. As though we had pressed the Tray Open button on the Blu-Ray players remote control, only we didn't. It's some kind of stray signal
coming from the Xbox One X that I guess is on the same frequency or code or both (Not sure how that works) as the TRAY OPEN button on the remotes of the two Blu-Ray players. The tray doors have never acted this way until we installed the Xbox Series X, it
happened the first time within 10 minutes of plugging in and setting up the Series X and has been happening all week long. Nothing else in the house is new but to further confirm it I turned off the Series X doing the "Full Shutdown" option in the menu and
once it was shut down I unplugged it and during the entire time it was unplugged the Blu-Ray players trays never opened but soon as I plugged the Xbox back in the problem started again.

    Anyone else had this happen?

Anyone know of a fix? It's very annoying and is gonna wear out the motors on the Blu-ray players, I bet it's opened the trays more in this single week since owning the Xbox Series X than we have in the entire time we have owned either of the Blu-Ray players.

    :)

3D Blu Ray playback On Series X

To be fair, on the Xbox Series X official page, there is no mention of 3D so it can't be expected:

    "Optical Drive. 4K UHD Blu-Ray"

As to not having a state of the art player, not surprised there either....a £450 ($500) console is not expected to have a blu-ray player that would cost probably £200 standalone

Well the xbox one include 3D blu ray

@dude, I think they say that cause your not allowed to comment about future hardware the other person may have not known and said it out. but lets all ask our selfs this...a blu-ray player plays blu-rays regular or 3D why would Xbox one will be to only Blu-ray
player on the planet that plays regular blu-ray? regular blu-ray and 3D blu-rays use the same disc fame format just written diffrently on the disc but both can be picked up by the same laser, yes yes, and yes It plays 3D movies and games :)

Dolby Vision - Blu-ray player app

I got a response from Customer Service: no support for Dolby Vision on Blu-ray app on Xbox One X at the moment (not even on Xbox Series X).

They said they are working on that, since a lot of people made complaints about this issue. I hope it's true, it's ridiculous to not support Dolby Vision nowadays on a device that has been promoted as a valid Blu-ray player.

Why is the Blu-Ray Playback So Buggy On Series X?

Hello SonicXHero, My name is Khaji I am the independent advisor and I will be happy to help you today.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with Blu-ray playback on your Xbox Series X. I can offer some steps you can try:

    1. Make sure your Xbox Series X is running the latest system software. Updates often include bug fixes and improvements that can address issues with Blu-ray playback.

    2. Some Blu-ray discs require firmware updates for proper playback. Check for any available updates on your console.

    3. On your Xbox Series X, navigate to Settings > Disc & Blu-ray > Persistent Storage, and select "Clear Persistent Storage." This will clear any temporary data that might be affecting the playback.

    4. Go to Settings > Disc & Blu-ray > Blu-ray > Persistent Storage, and select "Reset Blu-ray." This will reset the Blu-ray settings to their default values.

    5. If possible, try playing other Blu-ray discs to see if the issue is specific to certain movies or if it occurs with all discs. This can help determine if the problem is related to the console or the specific Blu-ray discs.

It's worth noting that occasionally, certain Blu-ray discs can have compatibility issues with specific players or consoles. If the problem persists with multiple copies of the same disc, it's possible that there may be an issue with the disc's encoding or compatibility with the Xbox Series X.

Thank you very much for your patience and understanding! If you need anything else, do not hesitate to contact us again.
