    Hi all,

    This is just to report a potential software issue.

    XSX was switched off overnight but this morning i found out that XSX was very hot.

    XSX was switched off with "instant-on standby mode" and no network and should have been idle.

    Despite that, XSX was very hot but the main problem is that the fan was not triggered.

    So i switch on XSX few minutes to enforce fan and dissipate heat.

    XSX is still working but i hope components have not suffer too much.

    yes i know but i turn it off and it even being 3 days off, it seems that it was on because it is very hot, as if it were working
    The Xbox Series X in instant on mode does still create some heat, its down to the SSD, which are well known for running very warm.

    If your concerned perhaps turn the instant on mode off.

    If the energy mode selected is Instant-on, it's normal to see the Standby on message

    My Series X is turned off as well. (And my energy mode is Instant on)

    Hi, it's possible your power settings are set to instant on. When that is on the Xbox is only in standby mode, so the fan will still move and sometimes may make a noise. If you don't want that, then change the power setting to power saving mode, and that
    will completely turn the Xbox off.

    I am having the same issue .I just received my Xbox series x and it keeps shutting off .I followed instructions to get instant mode on and there is no option for instant mode .I have stand by mode and energy saver that’s it .just wanted to see if I can get this issue resolved.thank you
