    Xbox Series X Internet Speed


    I recently got the Xbox series X, but I have been having issues with internet speed. On my laptop with a wired internet connection and a Cat 5 ethernet cable, I am getting about 600Mbps download and about 900Mbps upload with usually 1 to 2 ms pf Ping (see picture of Ookla speed test). However, on my Xbox series X with a wired internet connection and a Cat 8 ethernet cable, I am not able to crack 300 Mbps upload or download and almost never see below 30ms of ping (see photo of Xbox network speed and statistics). On my old Xbox one S with the same set up, I was seeing an easy 600 Mbps upload and download with about 15 ms of ping.

    So my question based on this information is, is there anything in the settings on the Xbox series X that I can change in order to improve the internet speed? I have already tried changing the DNS settings with no visible improvement.

    What is the max Internet Speed the Xbox Series X can receive.

    My internet speed is 1Gbps and my series x is plugged into the router via ethernet. But, My series x is only getting 200mbps with nobody on any devices and no games running in the background. Additionally, the latency on my series x never gets below 60ms whilst my other devices get as low as 9 ms. How do I fix this speed discrepancy on my series x.

    they are using series x hardware in the datacentre's now, so in fact series games on the cloud are running via mostly series x hardware, still the quality is set by your internet speed and latency, if you have good speeds but your latency is rubbish then you will get reduced picture quality to prioritise controller latency.

    but cloud gaming is still only streamed at 720p.

    I just ran a speed test on edge, and I am seeing a ping of 3ms with 900 up and down. I think you're right and Microsoft is limiting the speed.
