    Hi, I recently bought a Xbox Series x that arrived two days ago in perfect condition (or at least it seems that way). I have been having problems with the internet, I have a ethernet cable in the Xbox which had no issues the day before it arrived, playing on the PS4. But when setting up it did not show and thought nothing of it and connected to wifi. But when I go to look for it, it is not on the options for internet, using wifi instead. But the wifi disconnects every 20 seconds and then does find the wired ethernet connection and goes to that for 10 seconds before going to wifi which after 5 seconds displays a exclamation mark in a triangle next to wifi symbol, saying "can't connect to your wireless network." It does this repeatedly, all the while the internet is fine and all connected on phone and laptop with no issue and fast speeds. This is undoubtedly the Xbox's issue, but I am very confused as what to do. My only thinking is the ethernet cable is probably more than 5 years old, but does not explain the wifi disconnecting for no reason while it is fine on other devices. Also, one reason I perhaps think it is not working because I did not use the provided hdmi ultra speed cable but it was a bit of a hassle to connect it to the tv and it is in a projector room which does not support 4k. This is the reason I didn't do it as I thought it would be fine because there is no point, do I do it anyway?

    Any support is welcome because at this point I think I need professional in-person support, I just want to play with my friends Xbox Series x internet connectivity issues :(

    Slow Download Speeds

    Did you manage to fix the connectivity issue? My Series X constantly drops connection to xbox live/internet despite an ethernet cable being used.

    My Xbox series X is no longer connecting to my internet.

    The Xbox factory reset on the series X still did not work, it wouldn’t connect to the network. I connected my original Xbox one (2014) back up to my monitor and I was able to play online games just fine on there, same Microsoft account and internet that the series X was not connecting too. My Xbox series x keeps saying it has a hardware issue when trying to connect the internet, I’m pretty sure this proves it’s a physical problem with the hardware on my Xbox. I still have warranty on it and can return it and trade in for a new one. I’ll try doing this and seeing if the trade in one works.

    My Xbox series X keeps disconnecting from internet and Xbox live for a few a couple seconds before reconnecting. I don’t know what to do?

    My series X is in the basement and is connect via wireless to the internet. I do not use the Xbox one and it isn’t even plugged in. What is confusing me is that before I got the series X I never had this issue. It only happened once I got the series x. That is what’s making this frustrating because it is the newer console but having this issue. Could it possibly be something with the system itself?

    I have had similar problems with my sons series x dropping internet connection and the only way of curing this was connecting the console directly to the router with an Ethernet Cable. It now works with no issues. I hope this helps.

    And to add my sons Xbox one worked perfectly on our WiFi with no issues but the series x has issues, I’ve no idea why it has these issues but the cable sorted it.
