    Xbox Series X Instant On Issues


    I've come across an issue with my Xbox Series X when the console is switched to the Instant On mode.

    The console cannot be switched back on using a controller. The only way to switch it on is to use the power button on the front of the console. Once on, it also wont connect to any accessories with the light on the controller just blinking until it switches
    itself off.

    The console works fine when switched to Energy Saver mode and has no connection issues. I've tried everything from factory reset to removing and re-pairing the controllers but nothing works thus far. It's basically made the Instant On mode unuseable currently.
    Thankfully with the SSD its hardly a big deal with how fast the console starts up but just checking if anyone has had this issue arise and found a fix?

    I am having the same issue with my Xbox series X. It seems to stop all downloads when in standby using instant-on. Wondering if this might require an update to fix?

    I am having the same issue .I just received my Xbox series x and it keeps shutting off .I followed instructions to get instant mode on and there is no option for instant mode .I have stand by mode and energy saver that’s it .just wanted to see if I can get this issue resolved.thank you

    I'm having the same issue but with my series X. Downloads fine while on but as soon as i turn it off (in instant on mode) everything stops

    Yes. The Series X has almost all of the same settings as the One. Instant-on has been renamed to Standby.

    I have experienced this issue with the last 6-8 Alpha Skip Ahead OS previews.

    I've reported this issue using Report a Problem several times on my new Xbox Series X.

    It always occurs after restarting console from Instant on.

    A simple restart of the console from the Power menu or a Full shutdown resolves this issue for me.
