    I've yet to see any help regarding the Series X issues with running a hotspot or running off a laptop. I've had little to no problems running the previous gen and was hoping that maybe I have overlooked some of the advice and help.

    Using wifi to connect to xbox live?

    I've used wifi hotspots with my laptop many times.

    Just connect the 360 to the laptop using ethernet connection and switch on internet connection sharing on PC.

    Then sign into the hotspot on your laptop and xbox live should then work.

    Problem is that an open NAT is not guaranteed.

    So, stopped again, this time at 89%. Unplugged the ethernet, did not help. Used USB and phone to setup a hotspot again, started downloading. Inserted the ethernet cable and turned off hotspot, and download continues.
