    Xbox Series X Home Console


    I currently have an Xbox One S as my "home" console, while using my Xbox one X with sign in. This allows my wife and kids to play using the One S, while i can sign in and play using the X.

    When the new generation of consoles launches, Will the seperate generation also use a seperate "home" console, so i would have an Xbox One "home" console, and a series "home" console?

    Or will it be one "home" console across both generations?

    If the second, this seems very inconvenient, as i have 5 children, and i would like them to be able to enjoy the games we have on thier console, while my wife and i are able to also use our consoles, without having to purchase things all over the place.

    i set the series X as the home xbox and it did not let me play MW3 even though i own it.

    Edit : When i swapped the series X as my home console it took away MW3 on the series S too. So now i cant play on both consoles.

    No my Xbox series x is online and on the same network as my Xbox one and my Xbox series x is set as my home Xbox

    my daughter is trying to play on the xbox one and it says i have to sign in, but i am in the other room playing the main (home) xbox series X

    how do we work around this?

    honestly, i will probably never play the original xbox one console where everything was purchased and all games sit.

    i would be playing on the 'home' xbox series x

    If you made the series x your home console then you need to be signed in online with the one x as you can only have one home console at a time
