Xbox Series X High Internet Usage

As Farscape247 has already stated, 800GB is quite a lot of data to be downloading over just two days. It's too much for 48hrs of usage and it's more than likely completely wrong. Streaming uses lots of data as does Flight Simulator 2020, but not 800GB. And course, if you don't cloud stream or play Flight Simulator, this will not apply to you anyway.

It's been a while since I've seen questions like this. Usually the users report the console to have downloaded several TB's in a short period of time. This was found to be impossible as when asked what their download speed and their usage of the system was, the numbers didn't add up.

I would advise that if you're on a metered internet connection to call your ISP and ask them how much you've actually downloaded.

It depends on what you use or console for!

If you watch 4K videos on youtube if you use any streaming services like Netflix, HBO max...

If you do play online games as well.

Also, updates on games do count also.

In order for you to use less amount of data on your console, you would have to either keep it offline at times.

Or not use some functionalities I mentioned before.

depends on the games you have installed, lots of games require regular updates, streaming also canes data if your on a 4k tv.

you can disable auto updates but then when you start a game you may have to wait for any updates to complete.

if you use cloud gaming that also uses data.

if you have played flight simulator that consumes a huge amount of data.

800GB is a lot though so either you have downloaded a lot or streamed constantly or the network stats has got it wrong which it usually does.

if you are looking at the page on the xbox that tells you the usage it can be wrong a lot, i find usually the biggest number is in fact MB not GB, i don't think that stats page has ever worked correctly.

i have a 3080ti and a ryzen 7 5800x, starfield runs 60fps on a 55"4k tv no issues at 4k resolution too. cpu usage hovers around 37% and gpu less than 90% set mostly to high which is higher than series x, i have seen series x running starfield, it is horrid, graphics are running at low to medium if that and 30fps is just yuk.

surprised the series s can even start starfield as the series s is rubbish. series x is very old tech now too, ancient in tech terms.

the 2060 is more powerful than the series s, the series x is less powerful than the 2080.
