Xbox Series X HDMI repair needed

I purchased an Xbox Series X and during the first week the HDMI port was damaged when the cord was pulled out inadvertently. I took it to a local electronic repair shop and they were unable to make the repair, didn't want to deal with it as it was difficult to source the part and couldn't gaurantee the quality of the repair if they did change it out. They told me they don't think Xbox has made that part yet. What? They made the part of course, because it's in the unit, and why wouldn't they sell that part? Is it difficult soldering? Like what the hell, really??? They recommeded I contact microsoft directly. Any suggestions? This was a nationwide electronic repair chain by the way (U Break i Fix) https://www.ubreakifix.com.

    Thank you

    Steve

Xbox Series X HDMI repair needed

Thank you for your help. I have registered my xbox and tried to start a service order request. However, while filling out the online form I complete the "Issue type", "Service type", but after I select the shipping type I get this error: "Your browser is blocking third-party cookies. Please use another device to complete this activity." I get the same error using both my apple iphone and mac laptop. I don't have any tech skills and bought this POS xbox for my kids and don't even have the damn skills to even fill out an online order form.

Use anything but safari and chrome

Edge or Firefox for best results this is known issue with safari and chrome various websites and the way they handle it

Ironically ms doesn't have that issue with chrome and they use chromium and the same engine people say it's something with the JavaScript that chrome and safari uses but edge and Firefox has less issues with it including websites like forums and Facebook and various webgames

User damage isn't covered by warranty fyi

    No company does.

There is no way for third party shops to order offical ms parts

Xbox nor any other manufacturer will allow third parties to repair their devices especially consoles

Doing so forfeit the warranty they won't even touch it after its opened and can earn you a console ban

They don't repair parts they just replace the console

And self repair isn't allowed to be discussed on foruma

    Xbox series x

And what if I buy a cable will it work
The Xbox Series X will come with a HDMI 2.1 cable,

But whether you use a HDMI 2.1 cable or not, the HDMI port on the TV needs to be HDMI 2.1 to achieve the 120hz refresh rates at 4K.

using a HDMI 2.1 cable on a TV port with HDMI 2.0 will still only limit the Xbox Series X to 60hz refresh rates.

Best gaming monitor - tv for xbox series x

You don't need HMDI 2.1 for 4k on the Series X...you only need HDMI 2.1 to run at 4k 120Hz. The Xbox One X only ran on HDMI 2.0 but it output 4k perfectly fine.
