1. Xbox series x HDMI and power ports.

so I noticed yesterday when hanging my Xbox on the wall mount and plugging in the power and HDMI cables that both ports are very very loose. they sway back and forth about a quarter of an inch either way. I know for a fact the cables were never ripped out accidentally or pulled on when they were inserted. this Xbox is only about 3 weeks old. are the ports intentionally loose to prevent breaking when they are snatched on? the reason I feel like they are built like this is that they both still work great and don't cut in and out when I wiggle them so I don't think the connections are loose inside. but if it's not supposed to be this way I would definitely like to get a warranty replacement.

    :)

And what if I buy a cable will it work
The Xbox Series X will come with a HDMI 2.1 cable,

But whether you use a HDMI 2.1 cable or not, the HDMI port on the TV needs to be HDMI 2.1 to achieve the 120hz refresh rates at 4K.

using a HDMI 2.1 cable on a TV port with HDMI 2.0 will still only limit the Xbox Series X to 60hz refresh rates.

New xbox series x won't work with hdmi cable it came with

Thank you for contact us! I'm Anderson, an Independent Consultant and a Microsoft user like you.

    good evening

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble getting your Xbox Series X to work with the HDMI cable it came with.

Make sure the HDMI cable is securely plugged into the correct HDMI port on your TV and your Xbox Series X.

Try a different HDMI port on your TV to see if that fixes the problem.

Check for any visible damage to the HDMI cable, such as frayed wires or bent connectors. If you find any damage, try using a different HDMI cable.

Power cycle your TV and your Xbox Series X. To do this, turn off both devices, unplug them from the wall, and wait a few minutes before plugging them back in and turning them on again.

Check for any updates for your TV or Xbox Series X and install them if necessary.

So o can connect the hdmi 2.1 to a regular 4 k 2.0 hdmi port but I will not get the full experience or
there will be like some xbox series xs that have different cables.
No, The Xbox Series X has a HDMI 2.1 port therefore it will always ship with a HDMI 2.1 cable,

Xbox Console HDMI PortHDMI CableTV HDMI Port

Xbox Series X, HDMI 2.1HDMI 2.1HDMI 2.1 = 4K at 120hz

Xbox Series X, HDMI 2.1HDMI 2.1HDMI 2.0 = 4K at 60hz

"So o can connect the hdmi 2.1 to a regular 4 k 2.0 hdmi port but I will not get the full experience or there will be like some xbox series xs that have different cables."

Yes, you can connect a HDMI 2.1 cable to a HDMI 2.0 port on your TV, you'll just be limited to 4K at 60hz, which is no different to what it like to play on the Xbox One X right now,

Xbox Console HDMI PortHDMI CableTV HDMI Port

Xbox One X, HDMI 2.0HDMI 2.0HDMI 2.0 = 4K at 60hz

Xbox One X, HDMI 2.0HDMI 2.0HDMI 1.4 = 4K at 24hz to 30hz

As long as you have HDMI 2.0 port on your TV you'll be fine to use the Xbox Series X, but if your wanting to experience 4K at 120hz, you'll need a TV or Gaming monitor that has HDMI 2.1 ports.
