Xbox series x graphics issues - blocky shadows

Hi ScottyDoo, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

You can perform troubleshooting steps first such as trying to use a different HDMI cable or try to use a different TV in that way you can isolate the issue and if there are no improvements, getting it repaired will be the best option.

No, your Series X isn't toast. This is a known issue with the game and hopefully a patch will be released to address this in the nearest future.

Thanks, Jesse: I looked at the link you supplied. I'm not sure it is the same issue- the link is talking about Performance mode and the graphics looking 'terrible'. I don't see anyone mentioning green 'blocky' splotches appearing all over the graphics. If you look at my videos, that's what I'm seeing. It isn't just 'terrible graphics'- it is unplayable as splotches/blocks of the screen are completely hidden by the graphical garbage.

I'd really love it if it was a problem with Halo Infinite itself, but if it is then how the heck is anyone playing this game on Xbox Series X?

I’m having similar issues with my series s. Mine is only 3 months old. No purple blotches with mine, just blocky graphics and jumpy with screen freezing for a half second or so during busy action gameplay.

As two of you mentioned, cloud gaming is powered by Series X now, like I mentioned too.

I still have the same question. Isn't there also quality difference in graphics between Series S and Series X? Like textures are more detailed and shadows are rendered better in Series X? Now if Series X is used on cloud gaming, isn't those improvements then on Series S too via streaming from cloud? Or are the Series S and Series X exactly the same graphics wise in general but Series S just has lower resolution?

I understand that cloud gaming isn't 4K and there might be latency issues etc but that wasn't my question.
