Xbox Series X Getting Hot Playing certain games

Okay I just wanted to know because I thought it would lead to console turning off unexpectedly because it just gets hot playing optimized games and the fan just spins at its normal rate, I just thought the fan would speed up to get better cooling. Sorry if I'm just overreacting.

If the console is in an open area with plenty of room to breath and there is no additional fan noise then it's working as it should. On a fully working unit the Series X should be pretty silent. You don't need to worry about heat being released from the console as this is totally normal.

You don't need to stop playing to cool it down.

Thank you so much for the detailed information. It's normal, what's not normal is the console unexpectedly turning off due to ventilation. Just make sure that it's in a well-ventilated place.

Most likely yes but the xbox one wont be future proof aka wont be able to play certain games in the future the xbox one x will be it will eventually turn into an older console but still will be able to play the game the series x can

The Series S, just like the Series X is designed to be quite, in normal gaming (even when play X|S optimised games) the Series S fan should not be audible. It should be pretty much silent.

Have you changed the location of where your console is located? These consoles get warm (hot even), this is normal. So their location is actually more important than hearing the fan spinning.
