Xbox Series X Frame Drops

hi there i am hoping someone can help with the really bad frame drops and stuttering issues i'm experiencing with my series x at the moment

i did look but i dint think its anything to do with the monitor i'm currently using (AOC 144hz gaming monitor with amd freesync) i have also checked the tv output settings on the console and everything looks as it should.

i also saw something saying that overheating could be the problem however although its a bit dusty doesn't feel that hot at all and it looks like it has enough air flow at the back

i experience really bad frame drops on most of the games i play especially Microsoft Flight Simulator (this game is completely unplayable with the frame drops) and other simulation games for example: bus sim farming sim and many more

i am really hoping someone could please help me with this as its very frustrating

If you want, you could try to factory reset and remove everything. This would completely delete the apps and games on the console and completely reinstall the operational system. If the issue still persists, then I would say your console is faulty and need to be serviced.

hello there, Thank you for your reply i have factory reset the console keeping my games and apps and it seems a little better but is still choppy in some games and they are only just about playable.

If this was a console overheating issue, you should probably receive a warning message that your console is overheating while playing. If you have never received this message, this is probably not the issue.

I would suggest you to factory reset the console to see how it goes:

Press the Xbox button > Settings > System > Console info > Reset this xbox > Reset and keep my games and apps. The "Reset and keep my games and apps" option will not make you lose your games, but you will need to sign in to your account again.

See if the issue persists and please let me know.
