    Xbox Series X flashing black screen at random - April 22, 2023.


    My Xbox Series X has been randomly flashing a black screen for a second or two during gameplay, video streaming or while sitting on the home screen. The audio keeps playing though.

    I have a Insignia F50 65" TV. I've tried multiple HDMI cables, certified ultra highspeed ones. Tried turning off and on different video mode options like Auto HDR and Allow YCC, but nothing seems to work.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello Extreme, try to follow the procedures below

    The first is a clear cache

    1. Go to the Xbox press and hold the XBOX power button on the console for 10 seconds until it turns off

    2. Wait 10 seconds until it turns off

    3. Wait 1 minute with it off

    4. Turn it back on

    Xbox One reset keeping Games:

    Press the Xbox button to open the panel.

    Select system > Settings > System > Console Information

    Select Reset console.

    Restore and maintain my games and apps.

    Rest assured, you won't miss games or saves

    Note: You need to know the email and passwords of your accounts when performing this reset.

    XBOX series X Shutting down when playing cricket 22

    I just downloaded Cricket 22 last night and tried to play it this morning twice 6th April 22 and had the exact same issue. In tutorial about 5 mins in bang the Xbox Series X automatically switched off. So tried my other games and Xbox Series X works perfectly fine. Luckily Cricket 22 was free. But was looking forward to playing it. Just will uninstall it now. Shame really.

    If it has happened to me with Warzone 2 and eFootball 2023, which already come I think well developed for the X series, but if I play FiFA 22 XS or Resident Evil 3 the new version, and other games then I have no problem.
