  1. Xbox series X first it was no signal to display

Xbox series X first it was no signal from console at first I could log in for remote play then I couldn’t even do that. I’ve tried rebooting in low resolution mode no luck. I tried factory resetting with offline update via usb drive. Swapped out HDMI cables check the port. The port looks fine. About to give up on it. It’s been like two months.

Xbox series X first it was no signal to display

Hello, and thanks for getting in touch. I'm Aileen, and I'm here to provide you with advice as an Independent Advisor.

Chris, I know how frustrating this must be, especially after trying so many things and still getting nowhere. Since you've already done a lot of the right steps — like low-res mode, factory reset, and offline update — and you're still getting no signal, we’re likely down to either a hardware fault or a deep firmware issue that your console can't recover from on its own.

Let’s walk through what’s still worth trying before giving up entirely.

    1. Double-check Low Resolution Mode (if not already done this way)

This might sound basic, but just in case:

    Power off your Xbox completely

Hold down the Pair button (front left) and Eject button (front right), then press the Power button

Keep holding Pair + Eject until you hear two power-up tones

This boots the console in 640x480 low resolution

Make sure your TV or monitor is set to HDMI input manually, not on Auto

If you have already tried this exactly and got nothing, move to the next step.

    2. Try a different display (monitor or TV)

Sometimes the issue is with how the Xbox negotiates with the HDMI signal. If you haven’t already, try:

    A different monitor or TV

Different HDMI port on that TV

Force the input mode on the TV (don’t leave it in auto-detect)

    3. Re-attempt Offline System Update (OSU1) with clean files

You mentioned already doing this, but just confirming:

You used a USB 3.0 flash drive, formatted as NTFS

Downloaded the OSU1 file from this link:

    https://support.xbox.com/help/hardware-network/...

Extracted it properly and placed the $SystemUpdate folder directly on the USB root

Then booted the console to the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter (Pair + Eject, then Power), and selected Offline System Update?

If that process started and still failed, it's usually a sign of either:

Corrupted internal memory (system can’t complete update)

    GPU or HDMI controller failure

    4. Time to consider service or replacement

Since it's been two months and the console still doesn't boot to display or remote play, it may be a hardware-level fault at this point.

You can check if your console is still under warranty here:

    https://account.microsoft.com/devices

If it’s covered, you can request a repair or replacement. If it’s out of warranty, Microsoft still offers paid repair options, and sometimes a discounted replacement, depending on the issue.

I know this isn’t the outcome you were hoping for after all that effort, but if nothing shows up on the screen and the offline update doesn’t go through, it’s likely deeper than a software issue now.

Please let me know if you need any further assistance. Looking forward to your response.

    4K/1440p HDR

Microsoft locked hdr to 4k so if ur monitor dont accept 4k signals ( tick allow 4k box in settings must be selected for hdr) it doesnt work on 1080p 1440p displays usually only if they accept 4k signals. Because microsoft locked it since xbox one s and
one x. It is hard to understand why they not allow it now because they have xbox series s 1440p 120hz hdr console right?

No signal at first to wont display 1080p

    Hey there,

Have you tried more than one 1080p display to test it out? Unfortunately if the display issue has persisted on multiple displays with the troubleshooting steps you've included, your Xbox One console may need to be repaired. If this has persisted on other
1080p displays, be sure to start the repair process through our
