Xbox series x fans spin 1-2 min after shutdown, when powercut happen then what?

I checked the console now with a lazer tempgun after a few hours gameplay, 55c/131f on most trough the top ventilation hole down in the machine, then i turned it off, waited 2 minutes until the fan stopped and then it was 51c/123.8F so the cooling fan seems
to lower the temp by 4c.

I dont know if i hit the hottest part while using lazer temp gun trough the holes on top.. If it’s "only" 55c/131F at most it should be just
fine without spinning for 2 minutes after shutdown?

Are you sure its the fan in the xbox? My slim sometimes sounds like a fan is spinning after shutdown but its actually the power supply. If the other recomendations don't help perhaps take a look and make sure the vents aren't clogged and that the xbox is
getting fresh air to cool it.

So usually when I play on my series s the fan makes a loudish noise....

The Series S, just like the Series X is designed to be quite, in normal gaming (even when play X|S optimised games) the Series S fan should not be audible. It should be pretty much silent.

Have you changed the location of where your console is located? These consoles get warm (hot even), this is normal. So their location is actually more important than hearing the fan spinning.

You should not disconnect the power from the Xbox Series X while it is in sleep or shutdown mode even if the fan does not rotate ???

Atm its an ongoing issuse, i find it happening most with AC:Val and COD:CW. It happens also with Rouge Company and MK11Ultimate.
