Xbox Series X fan stopped working after strange sound and shutting off.

So I was playing Warframe and after completing a mission, my Xbox began making a strange sound and randomly shut off, now the fan doesn't work, is the fan broken or need to cool down?

after the update my console makes some strange sounds . first when I turn it off , on next day also when I start the console, i t sounds like the fan or cd will speed up for 1or 2 secs, then the console works normaly till Iturn shut down, then there comes
a realy bad sound, before the update I had never heard this. sry for my bad english, I hope someone could understand and help.

My console shuts off but the power supply box fan never shuts off, even when the console is off and no lights on the fan won't shut off. I have to unplug it to get it to stop. Is that normal?

So, I recently noticed that my Xbox Series X fan runs loud when playing Series X|S / Optimised for Series X|S games specifically.

It’s quite strange as it’s dead quiet every other time, but as soon as I start a Series X|S game, the fan becomes so loud that I need to turn up the tv volume.. it’s quite distracting.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any solutions?

FYI - My Series X is a pre-order/launch day model.. and it sits in an open and well ventilated tv/entertainment stand*

In comparison, I owned an Xbox One S for three years and I never heard the fan on that.

I’m having the exact same problem now. The only time my Xbox sounds loud is when running series x enhanced games, it’s completely fine on old gen games. Have you had this issue fixed or is it still a problem now?

Well I don't care about the memory. I've already added to it on top of spending more for more space. The problem is my fan stopped working yesterday on top of all the major issues (console slowing down, freezing during gameplay, snap closing after taking
forever to load, etc.) which is why I started this post. Now I need to figure out if I still have warranty on the console because customer service keeps talking in circles without getting to the point. My console plays slower than ever, and the fan doesn't
turn on. If I tap the console, the fan ends up turning on and makes a loud sound before shutting off again. It's been sitting in the same spot for 4 months now, hasn't moved an inch, and now it shuts off for NO REASON AT ALL! The fan is causing my console
to shut off after 10 minutes because it overheats. WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THIS!?
