Thanks for the help might sound stupid but what's a air cleaner and were would I get one from one more question when I start up my console the fan makes a horrible sound like the fan is being jerked back then it quickly jerks forward then kicks in as normal i did hear that everyone had this problem and it was going to get some kind of patch just wondering if anyone else hears/has the same thing happen when they turn there console on only happens when booting up.just wondering if this is part of the problem or if it's just something that happens to everyone when booting the console up

If it's louder than the TV/monitor, it's faulty. You'll need to get it replaced.

I keep out in the open on top of a table on its own to make sure it has plenty of room and air flow i know it's going to get hot the problem is it feels hot when it's on standby so i started to off standby and put it on energy saving mode which should stop the power yet it's still hot in the morning like it been on not so much from the top of the console but the caseing e.g sides of the console and as for the fan i could never hear it at all it was all most silent now i can hear it over what ever game i am playing even more so when its really hot

I had the same probleem. My series x was silent for the first 8 to 9 months. At one point i startet to notice the fan was getting louder. Most times noisy fans means that the device is heating up due to dust heaping up inside the console. I had this problem before with other consoles an the solution was always to clean the airways so that the enough fresh air can flow through.

So i got the vacuumcleaner and cleaned the opening on top of the series x. To my surprise this did not resolve the problem. When i took a better look at the console, a specially the back of it, i saw that there are some air openings, around the area where all the cables, like the power and hdmi go. When i cleaned(vacumed) these openings beside the cables, the loud fan was gone.
