Xbox series X fan noise

Hello,

I have had my Xbox series x for a couple of months now and I love it. Recently, I have started noticing that there is a weird clicking noise coming from the fan when doing demanding tasks such as playing games, utilizing a quick resume, or anything that requires serious horsepower. The fan is not outrageously loud by any means, seems to be running normally. However, when the fan speed increases, a weird clicking noise comes with it. I am not sure if it is rubbing on something or what exactly is going on but can someone please point me in the right direction as far as what I can do to get this problem fixed? Is there some sort of an at-home fix that I can attempt or do I have to send the console to Xbox? I am covered under warranty until June of next year.

or it could be the fact we are now in summer and the ambient temps are a lot higher.

So usually when I play on my series s the fan makes a loudish noise....

The Series S, just like the Series X is designed to be quite, in normal gaming (even when play X|S optimised games) the Series S fan should not be audible. It should be pretty much silent.

Have you changed the location of where your console is located? These consoles get warm (hot even), this is normal. So their location is actually more important than hearing the fan spinning.
