XBOX SERIES X ETHERNET SPEED ISSUE 1 GIG FIBEROPTIC

I have 1 gig fiberoptic internet connection, computer / PS5 have no issue with speed. But when i connect my ethernet to the xbox series x I get only 33 mbps, the console is brand new out of the box. I also get faster speed when connected to wifi..... around 200 mbps far from router. I've tried evrything hard reset, full restart etc.... always 33 mbps while connected on ethernet. So does it means my brand new console ethernet port is broken? Shoul i return it for a new one?

    :)

Hello, LewisM23. Thanks for reaching out! My name is Lucas. I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user just like you. I'll be happy to assist you today.

Please try to manually change your console DNS and ports:

Press the Xbox button > Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > DNS Settings > Select Manual.

It will ask you to manually fill your primary and secundary DNS IP. Try with these two combinations to see which one performs better:

    Primary: 1.1.1.1 / Secundary: 1.0.0.1
    Primary: 8.8.8.8 / Secundary: 8.8.4.4

After that, on the same screen, go to Alternate MAC Address > Clear > Restart.

    This will restart your console.

After the restart, go to Network Settings again > Advanced Settings > Alternate Port Selection.

Try with each one of the ports and see which one gives you a better download and upload speed.

To test your connection (after changing ports and/or DNS), just click on Test Network Speed on your Network Settings page.

Feel free to ask back any questions and let me know how it goes.

Ethernet speed issue with XBox series X

Yes it does work fine with all other devices. I have around 1GB of download speed using Ethernet with my other devices but this happens only with my Xbox.

And yes, it is the same with Wi-Fi as well even worse! )

The NAT is open but the download speed lowers to 90mbps when I shutdown the Xbox after having 900mbps of download speed

Any idea how can I maintain it ?

Ethernet speed issue with XBox series X

    Hello Behzad Mehrpour,

Thank you for your response. If you haven't done this, I suggest you reset your console while keeping games and apps.

Please see: How to reset your Xbox console to factory defaults | Xbox Support

Warning Resetting your console to its factory defaults erases all accounts, saved games, settings, and home Xbox associations. Anything not synchronized with the Xbox network will be lost. Your console syncs with the Xbox network automatically when it’s connected with the service, so if you've been offline for a while, connect to the Xbox service before taking these steps.

If you’re ready to reset your console to the factory default settings, follow these steps:

    1. Press the Xbox button  to open the guide.
    2. Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.
    3. Select Reset console.
    4. On the Reset your console? screen, you'll see three options:
      • Reset and keep my games & apps. Use this option as your primary choice when troubleshooting. It resets the OS and deletes all potentially corrupted data without deleting your games or apps. In some cases, if a corrupt game file is causing the issue you're troubleshooting, you may have to choose Reset and remove everything, but you should always start with Reset and keep my games & apps.
