    Xbox Series X Edge browser bugs neglected


    There are memory leaks on some sites that I think can be fixed if the browser had more RAM. A user mentioned that the browser only gets 1 GB of RAM. I think 3-4 GB would help the browser run sites better and would prevent tab discarding from happening so frequently. At least would allow for users to have 3-4 tabs open at once instead of 1.

    Hardware acceleration causes the browser to crash easily if it's enabled and you browse Twitch and zoom in too close. Also clicking on broadcasts will sometimes crash the video there, randomly. At other sites like Rokfin and Odysee the screen goes black off and on while scrolling the page. At Crunchyroll the video will crash if you try to watch in 1080p, but 720p works. At the Locals website you have to choose 240p for the video to play all the way through. Selecting anything higher will result in the video buffering and freezing off and on. At EpochTV the video will play for about 30 seconds or a little longer, then the video will start freezing and buffering like it does at Locals. Changing the resolution there does not work, though like it does at Locals. The Live.OANN on demand video playback does not work at all on the browser. It works on PC but you have to disable hardware acceleration for the video to load and playback.

    So I think the browser is leaking memory or possibly just needs more than 1 GB of RAM to fix the problems. At Reddit I posted this thread and it immediately gets shadow banned at r/XboxSupport, r/edge and all other Xbox communities. I've sent many feedback and there hasn't been an update to the console browser in 1 month and 4 days. The PC Edge browser has had 2 or 3 updates since then. Microsoft and the Edge devs won't acknowledge the bugs

    Xbox Game pass (Xcloud) laggy and pixalated on high speed networks on Android.

    I get great speed when using a link via Edge browser , but bad pixilated screens when accessing from GamePass pc or via Xbox series X

    Well are you on xbox one or series s/x then just use it

    Bing isn't as good as Google

    Keep in mind edge on console isn't a desktop browser it's sandboxed and has limits on what it can do

    You can't download edge on your console it comes built.in

    Please Microsoft don't remove anymore funtionality from the Edge browser on Xbox Series X|S

    There are 3 sites that use Html5 and run on the PC version of Edge that don't or have difficulty on the Xbox Series X Edge. I just want the websites to play the video properly. Even if you say consoles aren't the PC version, it is the mainstream Edge browser, the Developer Teams are the ones that remove or add functionality, this is why I posted this request and concern. This console is more than capable of running the browser like the PC version. I just want the video to run on it properly.

    Yep I have the same thing on xbox series x, and if I use the edge browser and go to discovery plus

    it won't let me stream but if I use my laptop it works fine. That tells me it's a xbox Microsoft) problem.

    There are some players experiencing this. And this bug is random.
    In my case I can see the "update available" bug on my Series S but not on my Series X

    And both browser versions are the same (101.0.1210.56)

    Please report this problem to both Edge and Xbox team

    Hopefully this problem will be fixed with the September update
